Phonics Word Sorts with Accountability – Taking Word Sorts to a Whole New Level!

Three activities are included:

Sound Sorts: Print each word sort and store it in snap-lock bags or secure it with elastic bands. After teaching students about the different spelling options for a specific sound, give them the word sort. Students will categorize words based on the correct spelling option. You can check their work afterward or provide an answer key for self-correction.

Sound Blanks: Print and laminate each page. You can use the full pages or cut them into individual cards for greater flexibility. Students can use a whiteboard marker to fill in the missing sound. Ensure students only receive one set at a time to maintain focus.

Sound Pegs: Print and laminate each page. You can either use the full pages or cut them into individual cards for added flexibility. Students can mark the correct spelling for each word using a peg or a whiteboard marker.
