Maths Sorting Strips

These maths strips are engaging and fun while also building much needs maths knowledge. My students love them, we use them as a warm up and they often ask if they can do them if they finish early. Thank you Mrs Amy.

Great resource!

I have been using these for a few years now for early finishers in maths lessons. They are fantastic. They are clear, colourful and appealing to my students.
I have both this and the upper set and have them mixed in together. The conversations that these generate as students discuss the possible answers, remember old or explore new concepts is so valuable.

Hi Ammie, thank you for taking the time to leave a product review. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed my resource. However, could you kindly tell me why you rated this resource down? If you could add to your comment here or email me at admin@mrsamy123.com to let me know I may be able to update the unit accordingly.
Thanks,
Amy

You need this resource!

I love these Mental Math Games and so do my students! They are great for a warm up prior to Math lessons, a morning activity when students enter the room, fast finishers activity or just to consolidate understanding of a number of different maths concepts.

Fabulous resource

My kids love the Mental Maths sorts - as a teacher of a multi-age composite, it is so easy to differentiate by having the Upper and Middle sorts available and the students choose which level they want to do. We do them as either warm-up activities or as part of a rotation. Students time themselves and try to beat their time the next time they do that sort. For my Yr 3 students, they do it in pairs and discuss where they think they should go - great mathematical language deveolpment.
